OUTDOOR GAMES
Games are of two kinds, indoor and outdoor. Indoor games are played inside houses, while outdoor games are played in the open air. Fool-ball, hockey, tennis, badminton and cricket are outdoor games. These are foreign games. Native games like Dandi Biyo and Kabardi also are outdoor games.
Outdoor games are necessary for those whose work does not require physical labour. For example, they are necessary for students. teachers, doctors, merchants and office workers. They are not necessary for farmers, labourers and soldiers, for they do physical labour.
Outdoor games improve our health. They keep us fit and active. Athletes are not idle. They are capable of hard work. Outdoor games teach us many qualities. They teach us discipline and obedience. The players should be disciplined and obey rules. They have to follow the captain and the referee. The players also learn co-operation. They have to play in combination. They learn working together.
Outdoor games have some disadvantages. They damage our health if we play much. They should be played moderately. They should be played in time. We should not play them in the hot sun or after meals
Outdoor games are harmful if they are played foul. Foul play leads to quarrels and injuries. They should be played fair. Foul play spoils the spirit of games. They should be played for pleasure, not merely for victory. Fair play should be the spirit of sportsmen.
Nowadays, outdoor games have become popular in our country. Young men are taking a keen interest in them. Outdoor games should be a part of education in schools and campuses. Many schools neglect outdoor games. This isn't good.
"आउटडोर"
खेलहरू दुई प्रकारका हुन्छन्, इनडोर र आउटडोर। इनडोर खेलहरू घर भित्र खेलिन्छन् भने बाहिरी खेलहरू खुला हावामा खेलिन्छन्। फूलबल, हक्की, टेनिस, ब्याडमिन्टन र क्रिकेट बाहिरी खेलहरू हुन्। यी विदेशी खेलहरू हुन्। डाँडी बियो र कबर्दी जस्ता स्थानीय खेलहरू पनि बाहिरी खेलहरू हुन्।
बाहिरी खेलहरू तिनीहरूका लागि आवश्यक छन् जसको काममा शारीरिक श्रम आवश्यक छैन। उदाहरणका लागि, तिनीहरू विद्यार्थीहरूको लागि आवश्यक छन्। शिक्षक, डाक्टर, व्यापारी र कार्यालय कर्मचारी। तिनीहरू किसान, मजदुर र सिपाहीहरूको लागि आवश्यक छैनन्, तिनीहरू शारीरिक श्रम गर्छन्।
बाहिरी खेलहरूले हाम्रो स्वास्थ्यमा सुधार गर्छ। तिनीहरूले हामीलाई फिट र सक्रिय राख्छन्। एथलीटहरू निष्क्रिय छैनन्। तिनीहरू कडा परिश्रम गर्न सक्षम छन्। बाहिरी खेलहरूले हामीलाई धेरै गुणहरू सिकाउँछ। तिनीहरूले हामीलाई अनुशासन र आज्ञाकारिता सिकाउँछन्। खेलाडीहरू अनुशासित र नियमको पालना गर्नुपर्छ। उनीहरूले कप्तान र रेफ्रीलाई पछ्याउनुपर्छ। खेलाडीहरूले पनि सहयोग सिक्छन्। उनीहरु संयोजनमा खेल्नुपर्छ । सँगै काम गर्न सिक्छन्।
बाहिरी खेलहरूमा केही बेफाइदाहरू छन्। हामीले धेरै खेल्दा तिनीहरूले हाम्रो स्वास्थ्यलाई हानि गर्छ। तिनीहरू मध्यम रूपमा खेल्नुपर्छ। समयमै खेल्नुपर्छ । हामीले तिनीहरूलाई चर्को घाममा वा खाना पछि खेल्नु हुँदैन
बाहिरी खेलहरू खराब खेल्दा हानिकारक हुन्छ। गलत खेलले झगडा र चोटपटक निम्त्याउँछ। उनीहरूलाई निष्पक्ष रूपमा खेल्नुपर्छ। खराब खेलले खेलको भावनालाई बिगार्छ। तिनीहरू आनन्दको लागि खेल्नुपर्छ, विजयको लागि मात्र होइन। निष्पक्ष खेल खेलाडीको भावना हुनुपर्छ।
आजकल, बाहिरी खेल हाम्रो देश मा लोकप्रिय भएको छ। युवायुवतीहरूले उनीहरूमा गहिरो चासो लिएका छन्। बाहिरी खेलहरू विद्यालय र क्याम्पसमा शिक्षाको एक हिस्सा हुनुपर्छ। धेरै विद्यालयहरूले बाहिरी खेलहरूलाई बेवास्ता गर्छन्। यो राम्रो होइन।
