"THE BICYCLE" "साइकल"

"Bi" means two, and "cycle" means a wheel. The bicycle is a vehicle with two wheels. It is generally used by the poor It is called the poor man's conveyance. It is little used in rich countries. In our country, it is used in towns as well as villages. It can be used on level ground. It cannot be used in hilly areas.

The bicycle consists of a steel frame with two wheels. The rider sits on a leather seat and holds the handle. The back wheel is connected to the pedals with a chain. The rider moves the pedals with his feet and the cycle rolls on the ground. He can turn the cycle in any direction by means of the handle. The front wheel can be turned to any direction. The rims of the wheels are covered with thick rubber tyres. The tyres have rubber tubes inside them. The tubes can be filled with air by pumping. The bicycle rolls easily on account of these tubes.

It is comfortable to ride on the bi-cycle on good roads. It is difficult to use it on a rough surface. The cycle is not costly, so poor people can use it. It is good for travelling short distances. It is not good for travelling long distances. We save time by using the cycle of going from one place to another. It is not difficult to ride on a bicycle. Even children can use it easily.

The bicycle needs frequent repairs. Sometimes, there is an accident, and the rider is injured. Sometimes, the tubes get punctured on the way, and there is a loss of time. The cycle can be easily stolen away. We have to be careful of our cycles.

"साइकल"

"Bi" को अर्थ दुई, र "साइकल" को अर्थ एउटा पाङ्ग्रा हो। साइकल दुई पाङ्ग्रे सवारी साधन हो। यो सामान्यतया गरिब द्वारा प्रयोग गरिन्छ यसलाई गरिब मानिसको ढुवानी भनिन्छ। धनी देशहरूमा यसको कम प्रयोग हुन्छ। हाम्रो देशमा, यो शहर र गाउँहरूमा प्रयोग गरिन्छ। यो स्तर जमीन मा प्रयोग गर्न सकिन्छ। पहाडी क्षेत्रमा प्रयोग गर्न सकिँदैन।

साइकलमा दुई पाङ्ग्रासहितको स्टिल फ्रेम हुन्छ। सवार छालाको सिटमा बस्छ र ह्यान्डल समात्छ। पछाडिको पाङ्ग्रा छ एक चेन संग पेडल जोडिएको। सवारले पेडललाई साथमा सार्छ उसको खुट्टा र साइकल जमिनमा गुड्छ। उसले ह्यान्डलको माध्यमबाट चक्रलाई जुनसुकै दिशामा घुमाउन सक्छ। अगाडिको पाङ्ग्रा कुनै पनि दिशामा घुमाउन सकिन्छ। पाङ्ग्राका रिमहरू बाक्लो रबर टायरले ढाकिएका छन्। टायर भित्र रबर ट्यूबहरू छन्। ट्यूब हुन सक्छ पम्प गरेर हावा भरियो। यी ट्युबहरूको कारण साइकल सजिलै घुम्छ।

राम्रो सडकमा साइकल चलाउन सजिलो हुन्छ। यसलाई कुनै नराम्रो सतहमा प्रयोग गर्न गाह्रो छ। साइकल महँगो छैन, त्यसैले गरिब मानिसहरूले यसलाई प्रयोग गर्न सक्छन्। छोटो दुरीको यात्राको लागि राम्रो छ। लामो दुरीको यात्रा गर्नु राम्रो होइन । हामी एक ठाउँबाट अर्को ठाउँमा जाने चक्र प्रयोग गरेर समय बचत गर्छौं। साइकल चलाउन गाह्रो छैन। बच्चाहरूले पनि सजिलै प्रयोग गर्न सक्छन्।

साइकल बारम्बार मर्मत आवश्यक छ। कहिलेकाहीँ दुर्घटना हुन्छ, सवार घाइते हुन्छन्। कहिलेकाहीँ बाटोमा ट्युब पङ्कर भएर समयको नोक्सानी हुन्छ । साइकल सजिलै चोर्न सकिन्छ। हामीले हाम्रो चक्रबाट सावधान रहनुपर्छ।
