"DRESS"  "पोशाक"

People all over the world wear some dress. Dress is necessary for protection against cold. In a cold country, people wear more clothes than in a hot country Dress is also worn for decency. It is very awkward to go naked. Everybody covers his body properly with some kind of dress. Dress is also worn for show Some persons wear a fashionable dress for this purpose.

Our dress is chiefly made up of cotton, silk, or wool. Poor people wear cotton clothes. Cloth made of cotton is the cheapest. Rich people wear silk or woollen dress. Woollen clothes are necessary for cold countries. In some countries, people wear skin dresses. Nowadays. we have also nylon, rayon, and terylene clothes.

Machines in factories make cloth. In some countries, the cloth is made on handlooms in cottages. This is called hand-loom cloth. This kind of cloth is cheap and durable. In our country, some people make hand-loom cloth.

Our clothes should be neat and clean. We should wash our clothes regularly. Dirty clothes cause disease. It is not necessary to wear fine and costly clothes. Some people wear fine clothes to show themselves off. We should use our national costumes. Some people are fond of foreign dresses. This isn't good.

We require different kinds of dress. In summer, we require light clothes; in winter, we require warm clothes. We require different kinds of dress for home, for school, for work, for play. Poor people cannot afford to have different kinds of dress. They put on the same dress for days together. This should be avoided as far as possible.

 

"पोशाक"

संसारभरका मानिसहरूले कुनै न कुनै लुगा लगाउँछन्। चिसोबाट बच्नको लागि पोशाक आवश्यक छ। चिसो देशमा, मानिसहरू तातो देशको तुलनामा धेरै लुगा लगाउँछन्, पोशाक पनि शालीनताको लागि लगाइन्छ। नाङ्गो हिड्नु साह्रै अप्ठ्यारो हुन्छ । सबैले आफ्नो शरीरलाई कुनै न कुनै लुगाले राम्ररी ढाक्छन्। लुगा पनि शोको लागि लगाइन्छ केही व्यक्तिहरूले यस उद्देश्यको लागि फेसनबल लुगा लगाउँछन्।

हाम्रो पोशाक मुख्यतया कपास, रेशम वा ऊनले बनेको हुन्छ। गरिबहरू सुती लुगा लगाउँछन्। कपासबाट बनेको कपडा सबैभन्दा सस्तो छ। धनी मानिसहरू रेशम वा ऊनी लुगा लगाउँछन्। चिसो देशहरूमा ऊनी लुगाहरू आवश्यक छन्। केही देशहरूमा मानिसहरू छालाको लुगा लगाउँछन्। आजकल। हामीसँग नायलन, रेयन र टेरिलिन कपडाहरू पनि छन्।

कारखानामा मेसिनले कपडा बनाउँछ। केही देशहरूमा, कपडा कुटीरहरूमा ह्यान्डलूमहरूमा बनाइन्छ। यसलाई ह्यान्डलुम कपडा भनिन्छ। यस्तो कपडा सस्तो र टिकाउ छ। हाम्रो देशमा कतिपयले हातले कपडा बनाउँछन् ।

हाम्रो लुगा सफा र सफा हुनुपर्छ। हामीले नियमित रूपमा कपडा धुनुपर्छ। फोहोर लुगाले रोग निम्त्याउँछ । राम्रो र महँगो लुगा लगाउन आवश्यक छैन। कसै-कसैले आफूलाई देखाउन राम्रो लुगा लगाउँछन्। हामीले हाम्रो राष्ट्रिय पोशाक प्रयोग गर्नुपर्छ। कतिपयलाई विदेशी पहिरन मनपर्छ । यो राम्रो होइन।

हामीलाई विभिन्न प्रकारका लुगाहरू चाहिन्छ। गर्मीमा, हामीलाई हल्का लुगा चाहिन्छ; जाडोमा न्यानो कपडा चाहिन्छ । हामीलाई घरको लागि, विद्यालयको लागि, कामको लागि, खेल्नको लागि विभिन्न प्रकारको पोशाक चाहिन्छ। गरिब मानिसहरूले विभिन्न प्रकारका लुगा लगाउन सक्दैनन्। उनीहरूले एउटै लुगा लगाएर दिनभर सँगै बस्छन्। यसबाट सकेसम्म बच्नुपर्छ।
