"THE RADIO"  "रेडियो"

The radio is one of the marvels of science. We can hear sounds coming from a long distance by means of the radio. It was invented in 1902 by an Italian scientist named Marconi. Many houses in Kathmandu and other towns have radios. Transistor radio has become very popular. It can be carried easily from one place to another.

The radio is a means of entertainment. We can hear music, songs, stories, dramas, etc. We can hear interesting programs coming from different stations. Many boys and girls switch on the radio and hear film songs. They spend a lot of time on this. This is bad.

The radio gives us news. We can hear the news from different parts of the world. We can get news very quickly; we do not have to wait long. If there is an important event in any part of the world, the radio flashes it to all parts of the world. The radio gives us news quicker than the newspaper.

The radio is means of education. We can know many things from different programs. We can learn history, geography, science, general knowledge, etc. Children's programs are very useful to us. We can hear the talks and speeches of great people on the radio. We can know their views on different subjects. We can hear the voices of the great men who are dead.

The radio is a very useful thing. But many people in our country are poor and cannot use it. It is a luxury for us. For the people of rich countries, It is a necessity.

"रेडियो"

रेडियो विज्ञानको चमत्कार मध्ये एक हो। हामी रेडियोको माध्यमबाट धेरै टाढाबाट आउने आवाज सुन्न सक्छौं। यसको आविष्कार सन् १९०२ मा मार्कोनी नामका इटालियन वैज्ञानिकले गरेका थिए । काठमाडौं र अन्य सहरका धेरै घरमा रेडियो छन् । ट्रान्जिस्टर रेडियो धेरै लोकप्रिय भएको छ। यसलाई एक ठाउँबाट अर्को ठाउँमा सजिलै लैजान सकिन्छ।

रेडियो मनोरञ्जनको माध्यम हो । हामी संगीत, गीत, कथा, नाटक आदि सुन्न सक्छौं र विभिन्न स्टेशनहरूबाट आउने रोचक कार्यक्रमहरू सुन्न सक्छौं। धेरै केटा र केटीहरू रेडियो खोल्छन् र फिल्म गीतहरू सुन्न्छन्। तिनीहरू यसका लागि धेरै समय खर्च गर्छन्। यो खराब छ।

रेडियोले हामीलाई समाचार दिन्छ। हामी संसारका विभिन्न भागबाट समाचार सुन्न सक्छौं। हामी धेरै छिटो समाचार प्राप्त गर्न सक्छौं; हामीले लामो समय पर्खनु पर्दैन। विश्वको कुनै पनि भागमा कुनै महत्त्वपूर्ण घटना भएमा रेडियोले त्यसलाई विश्वका सबै भागमा पुर्‍याउँछ। रेडियोले हामीलाई समाचार पत्र भन्दा छिटो समाचार दिन्छ।

रेडियो शिक्षाको माध्यम हो । हामीले विभिन्न कार्यक्रमबाट धेरै कुरा थाहा पाउन सक्छौं। हामी इतिहास, भूगोल, विज्ञान, सामान्य ज्ञान आदि सिक्न सक्छौं। बालबालिकाका कार्यक्रमहरू हाम्रा लागि धेरै उपयोगी छन्। हामी रेडियोमा महान व्यक्तिहरूको भाषण र भाषण सुन्न सक्छौं। विभिन्न विषयमा उहाँहरुको धारणा जान्न सक्छौं । मृत्यु भएका महापुरुषहरूको आवाज हामी सुन्न सक्छौं।

रेडियो धेरै उपयोगी चीज हो। तर हाम्रो देशमा धेरै मानिसहरू गरिब छन् र यसलाई प्रयोग गर्न सक्दैनन्। यो हाम्रो लागि विलासिता हो। धनी देशका जनताका लागि यो आवश्यकता हो ।
