 Discerning Judge

King saw two ladies brought before him.

 These two ladies fought for the same infant. 

Every lady claimed to be the baby's mother.

Oh King, I'm the mother of the infant, a woman exclaimed.

"Oh King, trust her not. She is not the mother.

 I am the mother of the kid," the other woman stated.

King was perplexed. He said, "Cut the baby in half and give one portion to each mother," after giving it some thought. 

One woman kept quiet.

 "Oh King! Let she have the baby. Let the infant survive," wailed the other. 

The mother, in tears, received the infant from the monarch.
